UV PRINTING & DECAL TRANSFER
How to Use UV DTF AB Film
Print and cure your artwork on A film, laminate it with B transfer film, then apply the finished decal to a clean, compatible hard surface.
Prepare Your Artwork
Size your logo, lettering or graphic for the intended surface and prepare the print file in your RIP software.
Print & UV Cure on A Film
Print on the selected A film with compatible UV inks and cure the print using the recommended settings.
Laminate with B Film
Align the B transfer film over the printed A film and feed both layers evenly through the laminator.
Apply, Press & Peel
Remove the backing, position the decal on a clean, dry surface, and press it down firmly. Slowly peel away the transfer film.
Production note: Follow the settings for your printer, inks and film combination. Test the complete workflow and check adhesion on the intended surface before production.

What is UV DTF AB film used for?
UV DTF AB film is used to create full-color logos, lettering and decorative decals for compatible hard surfaces such as glass, metal, glazed ceramic and smooth plastic. Common applications include tumblers, glass jars, mugs and hard-shell phone cases.
What is the difference between A film and B film?
A film is the printable film. After printing and UV curing, laminate the design with B transfer film. The B film carries the design during application and is peeled away once the decal is pressed onto the surface.
What printer and ink do I need?
Use a compatible UV DTF printer with hard UV inks (CMYK + White) and varnish. Check that your printer and laminator can handle the selected film width, and follow the recommended print, curing and lamination settings.
How do I choose between white-backed and clear A film?
Both are printable A film options. Choose based on your printer setup and how easily you need to see through the film when positioning the design. The A film backing is removed before application. If your design needs an opaque white underbase, set that up as a white ink layer in the print file.
Do I need a heat press to apply UV DTF decals?
Apply the decal by hand to a clean, dry surface. Remove the backing, position the design, press it down evenly, then slowly peel away the B transfer film. Test adhesion on the intended surface before starting production.
